Figuring Out Medicare is Stressful!
- Do you understand all four parts of Medicare?
- Do you understand the different "enrollment periods" and how they can effect you (for example: Annual Enrollment, Open Enrollment, Guarantee Issue, and Disability Eligibility)?
- Do you understand the difference between a Medicare supplement vs. an Advantage Plan?
- Do you know how to choose the best Medicare supplement for you and your situation?
- Have you planned for long-term care and final expenses?
- Have you considered how you should protect your assets?
How Can We Help You?
Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage
Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage each have their own set of benefits. Do you know which one is right for you? For example, with Original Medicare you will need Parts A, B and possibly D (see Drug Plans below) while Medicare Advantage puts everything in one policy. Medicare Advantage may cost less in the short term but more in the long term. There are many factors to consider.

Do You Need a Drug Plan? (Part D)
Joining a Medicare drug plan is completely optional, but there are factors that you should definitely consider as to whether you need one. For example, waiting until later to join a Medicare drug plan can result in higher premiums. It is important for you to understand how the drug plans work and what they cover.
Did you know that Your Guide to Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage from medicare.gov is 83 pages? 17 pages are just about the different coverage choices. 22 pages are about how the coverage works. Let the Beacon Group take the stress out of understanding your choices and how it works. We can explain it in easy-to-understand terms so you can make the best choice for you.

Medicare Supplements (Parts G, K, L, M, N)
Original Medicare (Parts A & B) provides the minimum coverage that you need. With original Medicare, huge out-of-pocket medical bills are not covered such as copays and deductibles for hospital visits, doctor visits, preventative care, and more. A Medicare supplement insurance policy ("Medigap") is private medical insurance that helps cover the costs that Medicare doesn't.
There are five different Medigap choices, each with different benefits. We are glad to help you understand the differences.

Planning for Future Generations
No one wants to think about the end of their life, but it is important to do so. Your loved ones will face many bills after your death. Final expense insurance is designed to cover these costs that will include medical bills and funeral expenses. Unfortunately, bare-bones funerals can cost thousands of dollars. The average funeral in 2020 costs $10,000 or higher.
Insurance policies can get tricky. Our goal is to help people understand the ins and outs of the insurance options so that they can make the best choices possible.

Dental, Vision and Hearing Insurance
Caring for your teeth and eyes is important. Some Medicare plans include dental and vision coverage while others do not. Figuring out your dental and vision plan in conjunction with your Medicare plan can be confusing and stressful. Let us take the stress out of finding the right one for you.
